Omukama Kabalega is actually the reason the Africans were defeated and he and Kabaka Mwanga were captured.
In February 1897 Omukama Kabalega, Kabaka Mwanga and Chief Owinyi Akullu of Lango formed a triple entente alliance of Africans to fight the British. Kabaka Mwanga was represented in these negotiations by his sister Naalinya Nabweteme who he had installed secretly to replace Naalinya Semiramis Nakalema who had married Semei Kakungulu.
Following these negotiations Kabaka Mwanga escaped from Mengo in July 1897 to Buddu where he was joined by his army commanded by Gabudyeri Kintu and about 10,000 soldiers(mainly Catholics) with 3000 guns. The plan was to keep the British busy on the southern axis while Kabalega and Akullu attacked from the North through Bulemeezi to cut off reinforcements. However Kabalega was unable to commandeer his generals so the first army of 1400 Baganda soldiers led by Lui Kibanyi was defeated by the British forces at Kabwoko. This started rumors that Kabalega had betrayed the resistance and Mwanga was forced to withdraw to Tanganyika where he was captured by the Germans.

HAPPY KABALEGA DAY(Independence day)- 9 OCTOBER:
KABALEGA defeated Sir Samuel Baker, a British(who had invaded through NORTH)at Masindi and burned🔥the Egyptian flag. Then FOUGHT the British(who invaded through EAST)and their local collaborators for years....Even in SEYCHELLES, far away from his People, KABALEGA remained defiant.
Captured, tortured, amputated and Exiled, HIS SPIRIT REMAINED UNBROKEN. AND TODAY, HIS BLOOD RUNS DEEP WITHIN THE ENDURING AFRICAN SOUL OF RESISTANCE AND FREEDOM....
TODAY ON 9 OCTOBER, WE HONOUR AFRICAN RESISTANCE AND THOSE WHO DARED...NOT INDEPENDENCE- BECAUSE WE ARE NOT YET FREE.

Just imagine if FUFA had decided to go to the grassroot.
On every village of Uganda, 71214 of them. And it builds a standard training ground with all the facilitations. Appoint there a coach and his stuff on monthly payment. And govt makes a law that stops boys at 3pm everyday to go to training on their village training facility.
After a year, the creamy be sent to parish level also standard facility and well facilitated. From there to Sub-County to district till national with the same facility and managers.
With all this FUFA makes sure that the coaches it appoints at every level they teach one football system. That FUFA wants our nation to be playing. This is where our league teams will be getting players from.
Just imagine a football style played in adjumani, Bukedea, Busia is the same in Kampala, mbarara, Buhsenyi. Players meeting for the first time won't have problem playing together because it's the country's system.
First this will help in creating jobs, having well maintained players. Well known talents.
This will provide a national team with players and football style forever.
And don't tell me money isn't there, we lose 10 Trillion every year. That is even more than enough.
If I was in charge of football in this country, & I promised to improve the standards from playing “shitty” football to higher standards, & I am recruiting West Africans to play for the country after 13 years of my leadership, I would be tendering in my resignation.
🇳🇪 Niger at the UN:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, as I speak to you, at our northeast borders stand the proxies led by France, backed by Ukraine and 2 other countries."
"And you know full well which countries I mean."
"These proxies are armed, guided, directed, about to attack our military positions and our oil installations. But they will get what they deserve, inshallah."
"Our Sahel is at war. A war of liberation against a conspiracy aimed at its recolonization."
"What some call terrorism in our region is a cynical scheme of recolonization dressed in extremist rags."
"Niger's uranium, the gold of Mali and Burkina, lithium, gas, oil and so many other riches keep the old powers salivating."
"This perfidious destabilization of the central Sahel, led by France with Ukraine's active complicity -- documented, very documented."
"Niger's uranium lit up Europe's cities while ours stayed in darkness. This injustice has now ended. It is over."
"A people that has decided to be free cannot be recolonized, not by fear, nor by cunning, nor even by savage violence."
Ugandans, please let's support our own! ❤️🇺🇬🇮🇳
Congratulations to this beautiful couple! She is the first Indian to openly and proudly marry a Ugandan, and this is great news for our world. Love has no tribe, no colour, no country.
As you can see in the video, they are not just loving each other; they are BUILDING together. This is Clover Restaurant, their new business they are setting up together. This is what true marriage is.
Let's show them support; let's visit Clover Restaurant Kyanja; let's share their video. This kind of unity is what Uganda needs.
I last saw this in Kenya: many Kenyan men married Indian ladies, and they are doing well in business.
Congratulations once again! We are happy for you! 🙏❤️
I have just learnt that Senator Cyrus Jirongo passed away last December in a motor accident. I was not aware that he had died.
This is very sad. Jirongo was a good and patriotic leader who served his country with dedication. We shall miss him. My condolences go to his family, relatives, friends and the people of Kenya. May his soul rest in peace.
This song Brought tears to my eyes because these words resonated in my soul to the core.
This is for someone here too. Maybe you are at the verge of giving up, please hang in there
Never Ever Give Up!
And to women with platforms, myself included, we carry a responsibility.
Before we sit down to teach young women about marriage, choosing a husband, raising children, or what a man should and shouldn’t be, sometimes the first thing we need to do is heal.
Seek therapy. Seek God. Do the inner work. Confront what hurt you. Because if we don’t heal from what we experienced, there is a danger that we begin teaching from our wounds instead of from wisdom.
Some of us have endured betrayal, abandonment, difficult marriages, childhood trauma, financial hardship and relationships that completely changed the way we see men and love. Those experiences are real, but our pain should not automatically become the blueprint we hand to the next generation.
Young women are listening to us.
They shouldn’t inherit our fears.
They shouldn’t inherit our bitterness.
They shouldn’t be taught that money equals character, or that every relationship must be approached through the disappointments we experienced.
Our responsibility as women who came before them is to give them something healthier.
Heal first. Then advise.
There is absolutely nothing shameful about therapy. There is wisdom in recognizing that some wounds require more than pretending we have moved on.
And when we finally speak, let it come from healing, discernment, experience and truth, not simply from the parts of us that are still hurting.
The next generation deserves our wisdom, not our wounds.

Today, Me together with my Political Assistant, visited Hebei Province in China, where we engaged with investors and manufacturers of small-scale business machines and equipment. The delegation explored practical and affordable machinery, including peanut butter processing machines, nail-making machines, grain milling machines, food-processing machines, packaging equipment and other small-business machinery. The initiative is aimed at identifying technologies that can be introduced in Lwemiyaga to support farmers, youth, women and small-scale entrepreneurs. Such machines can promote value addition, job creation, entrepreneurship and increased household incomes. The engagement with Chinese investors marks an important step towards connecting the people of Lwemiyaga to affordable technology, investment opportunities and practical small-business
