📖 Surah Al-Kāfirūn

1.
قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ
Qul yā ayyuhā al-kāfirūn
Say, “O disbelievers,”

لَا أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
Lā a‘budu mā ta‘budūn
I do not worship what you worship,

3.
وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ
Wa lā antum ‘ābidūna mā a‘bud
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship,

4.
وَلَا أَنَا عَابِدٌ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ
Wa lā anā ‘ābidun mā ‘abadtum
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship,

وَلَا أَنتُمْ عَابِدُونَ مَا أَعْبُدُ
Wa lā antum ‘ābidūna mā a‘bud
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِيَ دِينِ
Lakum dīnukum wa liya dīn
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.

📖 Surah Al-Baqarah (2:173)

Arabic:
إِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةَ وَالدَّمَ وَلَحْمَ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ بِهِ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَلَا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

English:
“He has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced (by necessity), neither desiring it nor transgressing, there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”

فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِي مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِإِثْمٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

English:
“But whoever is forced by severe hunger with no inclination to sin—then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.”
