We will see what the bottom line results end up being.
But as it stands on the internet, Sony is in full marketing mode for Wolverine, just announced a new Kratos God of War game & a release date for God of War Laufey and there is seemingly 0 excitement from what I can tell.
I want to make something perfectly clear.
We as gamers, are currently amidst the most important battle of our time. The battle to preserve our games, our ownership and our rights as customers.
This battle is not one fought by the left, right, middle or any political or sociological group. It is fought by gamers, united against one gargantuan enemy with many heads. The Industry.
The Industry has the investors money, the tech, the cult followers and the massive income on their side. With that, they now want to dictate how gaming will be moving forward.
They DO NOT want us to own our games.
They DO NOT want us to be able to resell old games, or share them.
They DO NOT want us to have a physical full copy of a game, and be able to play it offline.
They WANT us to be locked in a perpetual rental agreement. To have to pay them whatever they demand. To hold the power to take it all away. To get our data and have us be constantly online to feed their algorithms.
The Industry uses the access media to pour the poisonous message, that our demands to own our games is bad. That we should accept the change and be good little consumer drones.
And herein lies the heart of it. They need us. Much more than we need them.
They need our money, subscriptions and constant dedication (Something they did have in the past, when they provided us with endless amount of quality products). Now, when they only care about the money and overspend on boring and tasteless games, they are desperate to break us into accepting perpetual subscription, so the money keeps flowing.
These companies think we cannot survive without them. The truth is, they cannot survive without us.
Ubisoft is the glowing example of this. People stopped buying the slop and they are now in financial ruin.
This is what happens when gamers have enough and say NO. We have the power to change and dictate what we want to spend our hard-earned money on. Not them. And the only way to show companies like Sony, Microsoft, EA and all others, who perpetuate rental enslavement, is to not give them anything.
Play your backlogs. Buy, download and burn games on CDs from GOG. Go for indie titles. The sea is vast and plenty of tasty fish is in it.

Crazy how Sony has 2 major mainline games coming within 7 months and there’s little to no hype for them at all🚀
Not to mention GTA6 in between. Way to go, Sony, depleted what’s left of goodwill that people had for you and ruined everyone’s excitement for anything with your name on it.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
@InsiderGamingIG We should definitely listen to the guy who called "skull and Bones" a AAAA game and who's grown ubisoft, he definitely knows what he's talking about.
Ghost of Yotei cost less than $100 million.
Kingdom Come 2 cost less than $50 million.
Yet, Sony spent $400 million on fucking Concord.
The gaming industries inability to budget properly shouldn't and isn't a consumer problem.
This whole digital vs physical debate has really shown me how many people absolutely dick ride companies that are actively fucking them over. It's really baffling. I guess this is what decades of dumbass console wars has resulted in. Sony and Xbox bootlicking goddamn
Special shoutout to @Sony@PlayStation for successfully getting their online services back up and running after being down the majority of the day.
I sure can’t wait for that all digital future!
yeah just give in to the digital future! just ignore this, don’t you see the sales? THE DATA??! that’s all the justification you need. this is it! you love this!
