@darksky1079114@siina_karen Pick a struggle, either be bootlickers or act like having an anime pfp means you signed up to defend every business decision these companies make. Enjoying the work and criticising how its sold are not opposites, thats just being a normal customer.
@makedoika53 Capcom sold 9.2% of its copies in Japan last quarter. Monster Hunter Wilds did 8m in three days worldwide, 601k of that at home. Anime takes 56% of its money from overseas. The audience you're telling to leave is the one paying for all of it.
@uGJx6E1N9D16120 Parasites fansubbed you an overseas audience that now pays for 56% of the industry, translated the games you never exported, and kept the delisted ones playable. Crunchyroll was a piracy site before it was your biggest export channel. Strange group to wish dead.
@stern_118 Its like a restaurant that wont deliver to your side of town, so you learn to make the dish at home, and then you find your version is fine and you can have it whenever you want. Complaining they stopped ordering is odd at that point, meaning you taught them they didnt need you.
@yakumo_de You can keep throwing a tantrum and saying "i believe" or "i get sick". It won't change the reality, that piracy allowed for mass audiences to view anime and it became as big as it is.
@kenli_banki I don't think all Japanese game companies are being criticised, any that hold on to this practice of abandoning games and region locking them are.
You can find tons of studios and companies everyone loves. Please do not misunderstand and exaggerate stuff.
@ueyamakzk Outright lies are meant to be mocked and called out.
Bandai Namco and similar companies have made no efforts to lower prices or make games more accessible.
You live in a delusion fed to you by companies.
@Sophia_Valmet This is an absolutely cucked and sad mentality you love to overpay and be abused.
You would rather get taken advantage of and inconvenienced, than hold the company making it accountable to criticise them. Actually just sad.
@Arcadia_2481 Okay and?
Then what's the harm in making it accessible anyways?
Like why are you so against forcing companies to make their products more accessible and provide convenience for customers?
People that wanna pirate, will. but that will let people who want to support, buy it.
@Downerjd22 1. You do realise it was the Japanese Twitter that made it into as big as this has gotten.
2. Think of it like this if companies are made more aware maybe, just maybe they might get the message that they should make their games more accessible for more profit.
@GO1yama That's because there's a fundamental difference between certain Japanese people like the one's on here and normal people.
These Japanese chuds are slaves to the companies, they don't actually love the product.
Normal people love the product.
@saishida Thats their side of it though, the buyers are getting squeezed too. So wages are flat, everything costs more, and now its 70 dollars with no disc you can lend or resell, meaning you pay more for less. Hard for many consumers to accept no matter how good their reasoning is.
@yamuYGO@ben_1225 I have said all i need to in terms of whether i am the one ruining it or them region blocking or abandoning games is.
In terms making stuff I am sure if you look it up, plenty of Japanese games are inspired by games from outside and vice versa.
Be Better.
@NR4FEC@CorgiSnoots@moko13263354@knkrHanabi Bandai Namco is not government blocked, FF16 probably was considering i have all FF7 stuff.
Bandai Namco willy nilly region blocks shit.
@saishida And that's why it's an issue right? You can understand as a consumer you're being asked to 1. Lose physical ownership 2. Pay more.
Its a tough pill to swallow and then you have numerous examples where companies can just delist or remove games from digital storefronts.
@apexbot78470729@kanaloaaaaaaa@knkrHanabi@ben_1225 Okay let's do some 1+1 here, Company region blocks a game, blocked region pirates the game.
So now let's imagine what would happen if Company just released that game in there? Would there still be piracy? Yes Would there be sales? Also yes. So which scenario is better?
@NR4FEC@CorgiSnoots@moko13263354@knkrHanabi I am just quoting a recent example of where i asked them for an alternative they replied no, i have had similar experiences with bandai namco who can fully suck my dick there are so many that aren't available.
