Good fellow bought the magazine and then lost it. We are hoping he finds it! But yes, we do look at the questions of what it means to renew art by asking what the problems are to begin with!

[BLIXA T @BLIXA_T]

I purchased this. I am curious about this idea of renewing western civilisation through art. It arrives just before the equinox - the synchronicity is pleasing - in a brown envelope with real postage stamps.

If you wonder about today's art, consider these two novels. Written from the inside, they show how students are encouraged to pursue bizarre experiments to please tutors and chase critical acclaim. They explore how personal weaknesses drive artists into the arms of the art world. If you want to understand the state of art, I recommend this pair of novels.

Must have been an incredibly unstable pigment, but the current tone works so well now.

van Gogh painted many self portraits, 1887 was a particularly productive year for them; this is my favourite.  Why? Because the picture has discoloured (the background was originally purple) and we are able to see every mark he made and feel the weight of each stroke of paint.

[Juniper the Dryad @adesertdryad]

oh hey its me you should go check it out
