Dear Vice President Vance,

I listened to your recent remarks about Iran and your concern that instability in a country of 94 million people could lead to regional chaos, mass migration, and serious security challenges.

More than 95% of Iranians have absolutely nothing in common with the terrorist regime that rules them or its loyal followers. They are peaceful, intelligent, hardworking, creative, compassionate, and welcoming people who seek freedom, dignity, and friendship with the rest of the world. Please do not confuse the Iranian people with the regime that has oppressed them for decades.

If preventing such a scenario is truly the goal, I respectfully encourage the United States to engage with Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi as a partner for a peaceful transition toward a secular, democratic Iran. Many Iranians view him as a unifying figure who advocates nonviolent change, democracy, national unity, and respect for human rights.

A peaceful transition, led by the Iranian people and supported by the international community, offers a far better path than war, instability, or the continued rule of a regime that has brought suffering to millions of Iranians and contributed to insecurity across the region.
