BREAKING: #Somalia’s President Rebukes Trump’s Remarks on Somalis

Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has strongly condemned remarks attributed to U.S. President @realDonaldTrump , saying it is unacceptable to describe Somalis in derogatory terms.

Speaking to @AlArabiya_Eng , President Hassan Sheikh said Somalis are not “garbage,” but a people of intelligence, resilience, and capability.

“It is unacceptable for Trump to describe Somalis as ‘garbage.’ Somalis are an intelligent and capable people,” President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said.

The Somalia leader stressed that such language amounts to an insult to an entire nation and people, underscoring that Somalis have contributed positively across the world despite enduring decades of conflict and hardship.

He added that respect and dignity must guide international discourse, warning that inflammatory rhetoric undermines mutual understanding and cooperation between nations.
