@SteveMcRae_@CoryCullington Love how you're describing this "shadow government" and it's just what the US government does already and has done for decades. Blatantly. Including the current administration.
@TC_Top_Cat36@LaserShark19@realJonathan4@OrdinaryGamers Crazy. Please point out when exactly Sucker Punch or anyone affiliated with Sucker Punch endorsed the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I’d LOVE to see what you consider an endorsement to be
@BarterBlex@Bruhng23 @bigricanman @bennyjohnson We in fact fought a war to get it. Unless you’re saying you support releasing US territories and granting them greater sovereignty
@AzTk47@DelbridgeMark1@harryjsisson@charliekirk11 Hate saying “It’s like 1984”, but this time, it’s damn near the same line. “We’ve always been at war with Oceania”. Only difference is that its citizens fooling themselves instead of Big Brother
@Nisha35065@janos_marothy@ccash@chadcon1945 He wasn’t entirely wrong that the antebellum South was aristocratic, but it just wasn’t feudalist. It was a cosplay of feudalism. Southern aristocrats idolized feudal Europe and wanted to emulate it. Maryland’s state sport is jousting for that very reason.
@SummerShaddows@nwoke_nanka@realMaalouf Well it’s a good thing the Philippines have been Catholic for centuries and are arguably some of the most devout Catholics out there. Catholicism is tied to Filipino identity about as closely as it is to Polish identity. It’s that strong.
@lcdiaz001 @LeadingReport I mean, if it goes through, yeah, I’ll hand it to him. But considering the GOP is very much opposed to such policy, it’s less up to him and more up to them.
@NoPrivacy16@patrickwebb@LeadingReport Absolutely not. That would disproportionately impact the lower and middle class. Don’t pussyfoot around taxes. Either keep it progressive or just get rid of them.
@olioli0404@BankOfBur@patrickwebb@LeadingReport Income tax was introduced in 1913. The only conflict the US was involved in at the time was the Border War with Mexican insurgents, which was more a long series of skirmishes than a major conflict. Income tax was simply a major part of the Progressive platform at the time.
@theFrostmind@kt_millie@magically_amber @sadsoulstice @beastlet@esjesjesj That’s why you, as a parent, then say “No sweetie, you don’t need that to sleep,” and then maybe explain what chronic insomnia is if she asks why. Because, you know, that’s how parenting works.
@ThreeJacques@transriotgrrrrl@magically_amber@beastlet@esjesjesj Purely pragmatic business decision. Why split their content across multiple platforms and split their customer base? Disney is above all else a for-profit business. The brand doesn’t come before profit. Period.
@beastlet@SteelHorseLive@esjesjesj It’s not Disney Channel. It’s not a streaming service for Disney the brand, it’s for Disney the conglomerate. It hosts content across ALL of Disney’s properties. And if you haven’t noticed, Disney own A LOT of stuff. So much that most of it probably isn’t child friendly.
