Have said it once, i will say it again!
Who i was born to wasn’t my choice, thankfully I was born to parents that are beyond great.
Leadership is feeling empathetic towards another person’s struggles and enabling growth beyond barriers & that’s what my parents & teachers have taught me.
I want to live till the day, we stop talking about lineage or caste 🙏
@Antiqqq189336@MDUmairKh the modern day Indo Aryan languages like Punjabi, Hindi/Urdu , Gujarati, Sindhi hve same roots but These are related via more Sanksrit. Yes later after 11th century, Persian in its later form again entered the Indian subcontinent and it did influence But the link is mch nuanced
@Antiqqq189336@MDUmairKh You cant exactly say persian influencd while referring to Indo-Aryan languages. Now the term is indo-iranian, old persian, Avastan and Sanskrit are more like sister languages coming from same proto indo european root.
Chk this interesting interaction 👇

@JanjuaSadaat@JaidevJamwal Also word Indus was not the word used then, so if you denounce india, by same logic u need to denounce the word INDUS ! Also ever done a DNA study of IVC ppl? Will give you a GOOD reality check ! South indians are closest.
@JanjuaSadaat@JaidevJamwal So 'South Asia' existed ? 😆 make some sense with your argument.
What names existed during Indus valley civilisation is usually unknown. There was a records of it being refered to as Melhua by sumerians wch some liguist say cld be proto Dravidian roots
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Amartya Sen explains why the ‘British created India’ claim is exaggerated. India already had deep economic and civilizational integration before colonial rule. India is complex and needs nuance to understand. Maybe Sen does not. I don't . You do 😔

@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Nation ≠ one culture. Persia, Rome, Maurya, and even Hellenistic kingdoms ruled diverse populations. Today US, India, Indonesia are plural t. Nationhood need not be forced homogenity. The Cyrus Cylinder (6th c. BCE) even shows rule over diversity without assimilation.
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Saying ‘you don’t understand’ isn’t an argument. Mandate = legitimacy after conquest. Maurya & Mughal = clear examples of Indian large-scale state systems.
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Writing system, Mandate, currency these are features of empires at their peak. They don’t prove uninterrupted unity, just periods of strong central rule. Too rich for u to assume india nvr had any before the British
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon " mandate of heaven" -Calling that a ‘system’ is generous it’s just a moral cover .Mauryans had standardized coinage + imperial bureaucracy.
Mughals had a uniform rupee + centralized revenue/admin system.
‘India never had a system’ is just false.
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Your assumption making India an exception coz it was always fragmented and ONLY unified by the Britishis false. India followed the same cycle as everywhere else empire (mauryan, mughals, Parathas etc) and fragmentation and re-unification.”
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon So was China. China was never always unified..there wer periods of unification and periods of waring states..india too follows similar pattern. Unified under mauryans/Mughals, Marathas like China was undrt Qin/Han etc with huge intermediatory periods of fragmented warring states
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon If India were just a British construct, c it would match British India—but it doesn’t (Partition, princely states integrated later). Also ‘India’ predates the British—Persian Hind → Greek Indos. U think all civilisational names were ALWAYS unified nations ? NO
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Again you are ignoring pre British imperilialbkingdoms of mauryans.
How does it matter if modern india came after the British? Every civilisational state have had periods of unification and fragmented state
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Also read about Goa, Hyderabad, Kashmir Junagadh. How they became part of the modern Indian union.
And the way u glorify nation building ONLY thru conquests 🤦♀️
@ligmatto@_radus9@ariana_farhad@JoshuaBarzon Have u seen the 'map of India ' left by the British ? India was divided and fragmented into princely states and British India provinces... A single unified India was never handled on a platter to us. Do some reading before drawings such hackneyed conclusions
