@cece6767676@Pretentiousfoid You do realize that Victoria Secret sells mens cologne and loungewear now? And men have been going in with or for their girlfriends or wives since the store began to exist?
@primecest@this_wrld_is_mi The irony is anti's took the public code and made versions of AO3 with guidlines that adhered to their morals of fiction code more than once and all kinda died out from lack of use.
@omegatronub@Kamuiis_tail Back in the early 2000's over half of fics werw written like books and half of those were written epic fantasy style. People don't have the patience these days
@QSofatoshi@pixieterror@gurocroix Mentioned or tagged, then yes, it's on the creator, if it's tagged and you ignore or don't read the tags it's on you as the one who chose to do so....and if it is screenshotted by people trying to "expose" them without those warnings its on the screenshotter.
@QSofatoshi@pixieterror@gurocroix The same can happen when you go to a movie. Curating what you see and interact with is part of therapy. Therapists remind you that it's impossible to censor the world for each individual person.
That's why warnings and tags are so important. If a major trauma trigger isn't
@Sirens_Scales I'm not saying all influencers are bad writers for the record. I'm just saying I've seen some fics called "iconic" and must read because a famous cosplayer wrote it and then it's incredibly average or a direct copy of a plot I've read before with different mains.
@Sirens_Scales What do you mean by flop? Because alot of current fandom are assholes and don't comment or even kudos these days. Some of the best fics I've seen have very few comments and kudos and some of the crappiest I've read have thousands just because the author is an influencer.
@fujoshitrash1@nomfwanime In the og 90s anime he went to college in Stars as a big plot point so in season 5 they were 16 and 20 in the 90s anime. Not sure why the dub did what it did.
@neokyoka@dfghbbbh73264@D0ttoscr@zeracest They seem convinced that if you don't constantly say "omg this is so gross" you're going into every dark manga dick in hand IG?
@QSofatoshi@pixieterror@gurocroix That's funny. Most I know think there's nothing wrong with posting it properly tagged online because it can help those who don't have the ability to write to get their feelings out.
Also you act like people interact with it every second of every day(obsession) most do not.
@QSofatoshi@pixieterror@gurocroix "Unhealthy coping mechanisms" but it's doing what therapists reccomend or tagging fiction so people can avoid what they don't enjoy or find things to read that vibe with what they went through to make sense of it when they don't have the ability to write themselves.
@Buckyalt9@fforgeher@comebacktogusu0@ammokissed Giving their attacker the fuck you of going on with their lives and being happy instead of falling for what originated as rhetoric spread by a christian puritan group in fandom 12 years ago.
@Buckyalt9@fforgeher@comebacktogusu0@ammokissed And comparing it to stories about fictional characters is discounting what real people go through every day. It's like a survivor of a killer standing outside Scream 7 and shouting that people were trivializing their trauma with entertainment instead of going to therapy and
@cumcreature420@MachineDecader I've seen fics written by victims from their perspective accused of "glorifying it" even though the fic clearly shows how bad it is just because it's not stated like " he knew it was wrong but"
@Wangxianinspace@serraphice Its more the fact that they're being distructive and parents are using age to excuse it even when they're old enough to know better.
