We are excited to share the outcomes of a PlayLab study which used Fleer’s Conceptual PlayWorld model as an intervention into family practice to analyse parent-child interactions for STEM learning. This is an open access paper. https://t.co/SQ5uN9TdCo
I’m happy to share that today I start a new position as Research Fellow at Monash University School of Medicine, General Practice. In this role I will continue exploring conceptual development in the early years.
Congratulations to our superstar Sonya Nedovic for passing her first milestone in her PhD journey. Core research in @MonashEducation PlayLab led by @prabhatcrai Sonya investigates “How does a Conceptual PlayWorld create motivating conditions for #STEM learning in family homes?”
Today we held our monthly PlayLab PhD student professional development day with colleagues zooming in from around the globe. Running these sessions in hybrid means that our team is always together in the lab.

Such a joy to present some of our PlayLab findings alongside @MarilynFleer@prabhatcrai How do Conceptual PlayWorlds in home settings create motivating conditions for children’s STEM concept formation across cultural age periods? and many more questions were answered.
“Conceptual PlayWorlds empower parents to create ample and diverse opportunities for collective problem solving, placing parents in an effective position to support STEM learning at home”

The Andrews Labor Government is giving Victorian kindergartens a boost by making more funding available for services to upgrade and improve, ensuring every Victorian child has the best start in life.
It's all part of our $1.68 billion investment in kindergarten infrastructure.
There are not enough schools supporting the next generation of Pre Service Teachers by accepting placements. I know 'we' are tired after 2 years of interruptions but we need to advocate for our young people who want to enter the teaching profession! #WomenEd_Aus#AussieEd
