My company just listed on LinkedIn a job posting for what I’m currently doing (so we’re hiring another UX writer) and now thanks to salary transparency laws, I see that they intend to pay this person $32k-$90k more than they currently pay me, so I applied.
‘Abuse of power comes as no surprise!’
but
It is always a disappointment when those who are responsible for holding truth to power abuse their power.
Shame on the photojournalist who raped this young girl.
Shame on his friend who raped her as well.
Bravo for speaking up.
My experiences in Dr. Ting Lu's lab documented in the letter attached.
It's not about him. I've cared about him enough during those 18 months of my life. It's about the students.

My heart breaks for the people of Nepal, now facing a terrifying spike in COVID-19 deaths. As the US recovers from this pandemic, we must share surplus vaccines, step up our aid efforts, and scale up vaccine manufacturing to meet the need in Nepal, India, and around the world.
THREAD: #Nepal#COVID projection by June 4th at the current infection rate... For every ICU bed occupied there will be almost 40 patients who need it and won't get it.
No oxygen, no ICU beds, and a steady increase in death rates ... this is #COVID19 in #Nepal. Nepal follows #India blindly. The leaders are as narcissistic... and the state of health infrastructure is far worse. Emergency medical supplies and human resources will be in demand.

If 95% of Americans wore masks in public, it could drastically reduce the amount of COVID-19 deaths by February, the study projects. https://t.co/PPzXfebSPC

If you are woman in a male-dominated field, you oughta be first at something. I was first hired @IllinoisMatSE in 20 years. Justice Ginsburg was first countless times. We owe it to her and ourselves to wipe off the tears and keep fighting so we are not the last. #RestInPowerRBG
Grab your lunch tomorrow (Sept 2) and join me to learn about our work relating microstructure to macro-scale function in bone and ligaments! Please RT!
Here's the latest on @Illinois_Alma and COVID-19:

... with ~100 positive COVID-19 cases identified among students and employees. /1
