Hey @easyJet you’ve cancelled our flight from Berlin to London and we have 42 students with us. We’ve had no information, offers of food vouchers or seen anyone, just told to collect our baggage and shoved back to arrivals. It’s been over 4 hours now. Poor poor show.
@noseypoet@easyJet Generally never had a major problem in the past. But when it goes wrong bit does it go wrong! But it’s a risk we take and everyone is safe and well
@dreddy2@easyJet Yes it is. This is from their cancellation policy, which applies to us!
If your flight is cancelled, and the next available flight is not until the following day, we can offer you a hotel room for the night if you need one.
@MustaMustikka@easyJet This is the first time, not my first school trip it’s so unlucky. And it does make you think why bother. But then who kisses our on the opportunity and experience because if one bad experience
@BatBriefintel@easyJet Ha look at you being all judgemental telling me what I should be doing. For your information we have a tour operator guide with us who is working on organising plans whilst other staff sit with the students. Wasn’t just me here you see 🙄
We were lucky we were booked with a tour company who were on the case for hours via our staff who worked relentlessly to find a quick solution for 47 people!
This is not a comment on me or my school or the trips. Memories forever for these students in more ways! This is easyJet cancelling a flight 30 minutes before take off with no reason and no staff present. We can deal with the students we are trained for that, it’s our job.
By midnight we had been given a hotel (half an hour away and 2 train rides across Berlin) but it’s a hotel Nonetheless.
We are booked on to a non direct to Manchester (we live in London) this evening.
We were full coms with school and parents throughout. Students always safe
Thanks for everyone’s concern, those moaning and those supporting! Out of the 4 horse we spent about 2 just getting back through passport control and getting our luggage! We have 5 adults (4 teachers and a guide) the guide and one teacher spent hours sorting.
Congratulations to all of our regional qualifiers. A fantastic achievement and we are proud of all of you!! London Regionals begin on Saturday at the London Aquatics Centre, Stratford.
