I enjoyed a breakfast meeting with the Iranian Crown Prince @PahlaviReza. It was a blessing to hear of his passion for freedom, including religious freedom, for the Iranian people. His heart reminded me of King Cyrus, whom God used to allow the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem.

The Islamic Republic has sentenced 10 individuals detained during Iran's January 8 and 9 national uprising to death—brutal and unjust verdicts that highlight the regime's intensifying crackdown and campaign of violence.

Taraneh Rahimi, Navid Elyasi, Mehrdad Boeri, Abolfazl Dadgostar, Armin Gholami, Mehdi Mansouri, Ahmadreza Saeedi, Mohammadmehdi Asadi, Parsa Jafari, and Mehdi Jafari (Khosravi) are the 10 defendants in the so-called "Isfahan Shohada Square" case who have been condemned to death by Isfahan's Revolutionary Kangaroo Court.

In addition, six other citizens from Isfahan, Romina Rahimi and Milad Boeri (25 years each), Hamed Mehralian (15 years), and Setayesh Saedi, Sajjad Abedi, and Ali Boeri (5 years each), have been handed heavy prison sentences.

These verdicts were issued despite rampant human rights violations, denial of legal representation, and severe torture, including sexual violence against female detainees, to extract forced confessions.

The criminal regime in Iran is trying to stifle public outrage and head off future unrest by handing down death sentences to instill fear. The world cannot stay silent in the face of these atrocities.
