*Summary*
Priory School is a 'community' junior school in the heart of the 'community' being forcibly ripped from the 'community' without any benefits being demonstrated to that 'community'.
Quite a few would say moving it to a location that makes it inaccessible to children who will be left with no junior school will have a greater impact on children's education. Is it time for Mr Moses to resign if he's that disappointed by his ofsted outstanding rated school?
Mr Moses said: "We are compromising children's education and wellbeing every single day we remain in it.
And yet it's outstanding rating by Ofsted and "Proud to be Priory" motto begs to differ. Something doesn't add up here.
Councillor Ernest Mallett MBE rebutted concerns, saying "we are in the age of the car" and telling the committee: "Wherever the school is were going to have traffic problems."
Wow - what a great role model for our children?

Surrey's principal highways officer said the plans needed a significant number of highway improvements and admitted it would be an "unusually car dependent school site".

Feeling very sad today...definitely won't be enjoying our summer now as instead of that we are having to rethink our families future in Reigate. With no accessible junior school following our infant school journey we just won't be able to stay here.
Heard on the grapevine it won’t be October either, partially due to the sad collapse of ISG (the appointed building contractors) and SCC needing to consider the implications of this
Just had a look and it's not on the agenda for next week (have Wednesday free now). Would they seriously put it forward at the next planning committee meeting on the 30th October during half-term?
Interesting info just shared with us in relation to the re-submitted planning application for Reigate Priory Junior School. Published end date is 12th August to comment, but we apparently have up until noon the day before it’s returned to the committee.

My objection to the latest Priory School planning app 👇
I know I won't have captured all the problems in detail, but be rest assured I am making representations on all this directly, as well as through the planning process.

#Reigate Priory has been a primary school since 1948. If you believe that future generations should benefit from an outstanding education in the heart of our community, please take a moment today to object to this proposal to move the school.

"In terms of the harm to the historic park and garden at Woodhatch Place this remains at substantial harm due to the scale of the proposed building and loss of parkland from hardstanding and artificial grass..."
"Fundamentally the scheme by virtue of its mass and layout neither appropriately respects the rights of the adjoining property owners, preserves sufficient areas of the locally listed landscape garden, nor suitably preserves the protected woodland belt fronting Cockshot Hill."
