@realpacobrady @ProudofusUK @Rupert_Matthews The word ‘black’ is obviously not problematic, but when it is pluralised (‘blacks’) and used instead of the terms ‘black people’, ‘black individuals’ etc. it can be interpreted as somewhat dehumanising (and you rarely hear people referring to ‘whites’)

@Rupert_Matthews @reformparty_uk That is not even close to the point I was making: I think that extremism is bad in all directions, so a middle-ground is generally preferable. All parties (especially those consistently heading further in one particular direction) would benefit from more compromise and empathy

@Rupert_Matthews @reformparty_uk The groups you allude to are not simply ‘fashionable’: they currently get a lot of news coverage, since in today’s political climate, they are facing increasing levels of hate and violence (which inevitably gain attention).

@Rupert_Matthews @reformparty_uk I’m very glad to hear that you share my sentiments, but I don’t think that the systemic prejudice and discrimination faced by poc, women, queer, and trans people (especially in relation to the police force) is comparable to that of working-class and agricultural communities.
