🧵 Ultimate 101 Guide On It 🧵

• What exactly @SuccinctLabs is building ?

Succinct main focus is Zero Knowledge Proofs but what is ZKPs ?

ZKPs allow you to prove something is true ( like this transaction is valid ) without revealing unnecessary details ( who's behind )

Example : You want to prove you're over 18 to access a website without revealing your ID or Date of Birth certificate.

ZKP will let you do that as it acts like a digital certificate saying ' this person is over 18 without revealing your docs.

This will help to build dApps considering :

• Privacy
• Security
• Scalability
• Interoperability

• They've two main products :
1 > SP1
2 > Succinct Prover Network

Let's understand one by one 📝

1/. SP1 is a Zero Knowledge Virtual Machine ( zkVM ).

It support rust ( a programing language ) means you can write code normally in rust without getting into complex cryptography.

Then SP1 creates ZKPs to prove the program outputs are correct.

Means ZKPs is the result : Proofs
SP1 is tool that generates those proofs

Real Life Example : You're building a blockchain based voting app.

> Write a program in rust that counts votes and determine the winner 🏆

> SP1 will run this program then create the ZKP to prove vote count is correct without revealing voters details.

> Since everything is happening on blockchain so anyone can verify the accuracy of the result.

> Voting apps needs to be scalable as 1000s of people votes at a time so this will handle the same to prove their Scalability.

> It also support Interoperability means a person can vote from Cosmos and second person can vote from Ethereum

Hope you've got the idea of ZKP + SP1

2/. Succinct Prover Network is a decentralised system created by Succinct Labs.

It's decentralised marketplace where provers ( computers ) compete to do heavy work of creating the proof to produce ZKP that SP1 designed.

Real Life Example:

> SP1 creates the recipe for ZKP

> Prover Network cooks the ZKP using provers ( computers )

> The ZKP is used in the app to make blockchains private/fast/scalable/secure

In Simple Language : A network of computers ( provers ) that generates ZKPs for apps so that they don't need their own hardware.

Ultimate goal is to provide tools like :

• SP1
• Succinct Prover Network
• IBC Eureka

to help developers to build best of the best dApps ( Secure/Fast/Scalable/Interoperable )

• How To Contribute ?

- Currently their Prover Network Testnet is active but needs code to get in.
