Antarctic sea ice extent is currently tracking the long-term average dating back to 1979.

In fact, there is more sea ice around Antarctica today than there was 45 years ago in 1981.

In the Arctic, the picture is also misrepresented.

There has been no net trend in Arctic sea ice extent since Greta Thunberg was three years old. Season ups and downs play out, but there is no sustained decline.

Taken together, total global sea ice extent right now is higher than it was in 2006. That was the year Al Gore predicted polar collapse and was awarded the Nobel Prize.

This is not conjecture.
