BENGALURU IS DROWNING IN POTHOLES: DK SHIVAKUMAR’S "BRAND BENGALURU" PROVES A TOTAL FAILURE AND FARCE!

Look at the absolute disaster our IT capital has become! A single week of rain, and Bengaluru’s roads have completely disintegrated into death traps. Commuters are left guessing where the road ends and where open, overflowing drains begin. From Chickpet, K.R. Market, and Mamulpet to Horamavu, Outer Ring Road, and Lavelle Road, the entire city has been converted into a dangerous obstacle course. While the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) conducts mock "parades" and seasonal drama, the public is risking their lives navigating flooded, crater-ridden stretches full of filthy drain water.

This criminal neglect lies squarely at the feet of the Chief Minister-designate @DKShivakumar ! While he was busy plotting and maneuvering to grab the high chair, the city he was supposed to protect has been completely abandoned. Under his watch, civic coordination has completely collapsed. The BWSSB digs up the roads, the GBA fails to fix them, and the ordinary citizen pays the price with broken bones and damaged vehicles.

Is this your grand vision of "Brand Bengaluru," Mr. Shivakumar avare? A city where business is paralyzed, transporters refuse to enter commercial zones, and two-wheelers daily gamble with their lives?

To make matters worse, instead of fixing the shattered roads, D.K. Shivakumar’s hopeless administration is openly mocking citizens with a ridiculous social media campaign called the "#1KmChallenge"! The GBA is actually telling Bengaluru residents to walk short distances instead of taking auto-rickshaws to "reduce congestion" and "improve health." This is a sick, tone-deaf joke. You want people to walk when the footpaths are completely broken, encroached upon, or submerged under rain water? This is a pathetic attempt by the Minister to shift the blame onto citizens because his government has utterly failed to provide safe, accessible, and uninterrupted pedestrian pathways.

It's now time to stop hiding behind empty PR campaigns and start doing the job you fought so hard to get, Mr. Shivakumar avare! Pothole filling cannot be a seasonal scam where temporary patches wash away with the very first drop of rain. The BJP demands that you immediately stop the political posturing, halt these insulting internet challenges, and fix the broken infrastructure before more innocent lives are lost. We will hold you directly accountable on the streets and in the Assembly for turning our global city into a civic nightmare!

"நேத்து மாலை. நான் 70 ரூபாய் சாமான் வாங்கினேன். 100 ரூபாய் கொடுத்தேன். நீங்க 30 ரூபாய்கு பதில் 40 ரூபாய் திருப்பி கொடுத்துட்டீங்க. தெரியாம நடந்த தப்பு தான். ஆனா அது உங்க பணம்."

சொல்லிட்டு அந்த பத்து ரூபாயை நீட்டினாள்.

கடைக்காரர் அந்த தாளை வாங்கி நெற்றியில் வைத்து கல்லாவில் வைத்தார். பிறகு கேட்டார்,
"சரி... வாங்கும்போது 5 ரூபாய்கு கூட பேரம் பேசுற நீ, இப்போ 10 ரூபாய்கு 7 கிலோமீட்டர் தூரம் வந்திருக்கியே? ஏன்?"

அவள் சிரித்தாள். "பேரம் பேசுறது என் உரிமை ஐயா. ஆனா விலை முடிஞ்ச பிறகு குறைச்சு கொடுக்கிறது பாவம். என் மனசாட்சி அதுக்கு சம்மதிக்காது."

"நேத்து ராத்திரியே வந்தேன். கடை மூடிட்டீங்க. அதான் இன்னிக்கு மறுபடி வந்தேன். மனசு லேசா இருந்தா தானே தூக்கம் வரும்?"

கடைக்காரருக்கு வாயடைத்துப் போனது. "எங்க இருக்கே தாயி?"

"செக்டார் 8 ஐயா."

7 கிலோமீட்டர். இரண்டாவது முறையா வந்திருக்கா. ஒரு பத்து ரூபாய்காக.

அவள் கிளம்பும்போது சொன்னாள்,
"என் கணவர் இல்லை ஐயா. போகும்போது ஒரே ஒரு வார்தை சொல்லிட்டு போனார் - 'பிறருக்கு சொந்தமான ஒரு பைசா கூட தொடாதே. மேலே ஒருத்தன் இருக்கான். அவன் கணக்கு கேட்டா, அந்த தண்டனை நம்ம புள்ளைங்களை பாதிக்கும்.'"

அந்த வார்தை கடைக்காரரை உலுக்கியது.

உடனே அவர் கல்லாவில் இருந்து 300 ரூபாய் எடுத்தார். ஸ்கூட்டரை உருட்டினார்.
பக்கத்து கடை பிரகாஷ் கிட்ட போய் நீட்டினார்.

"இந்தா... நேத்து நீங்க சாமான் வாங்கும்போது நான் 300 ரூபாய் அதிகமா வாங்கிட்டேன்."

பிரகாஷ் சிரித்தார். "இப்போ எதுக்கு இவ்ளோ அவசரம்? நான் வரும்போது கொடுத்திருக்கலாமே."

"நீங்க வரதுக்குள்ள நான் செத்துப் போனா? மேலே இருக்கிறவன் கணக்கு கேட்டா நான் என்ன சொல்வேன்? அந்த பாவம் என் புள்ளைங்களை சேருமே."

சொல்லிட்டு கிளம்பிட்டார்.

ஆனா பிரகாஷுக்கு தூக்கம் போனது.

மூணாவது நாள் பிரகாஷ் வங்கிக்கு போனார். 13 லட்சம் எடுத்தார். வட்டியோடு.

அந்த விதவையோட வீட்டு வாசல்ல போய் காலில் விழுந்தார்.

"என்னை மன்னிச்சிடும்மா" என்று அழுதார்.

13 லட்சம் பார்த அவள் கண்ணீர் விட்டாள். ஆசீர்வதித்தாள்.

ஆச்சரியம் என்ன தெரியுமா?
அந்த விதவைதான்... 10 ரூபாயை திருப்பி கொடுக்க 7 கிலோமீட்டர் இரண்டு முறை நடந்து வந்த அந்த பெண்.
