@on_lothianbuses Can nothing be done to put a stop within that distance of almost a mile? On its regular route there are about 5 stops within half that distance along Raeburn Place and Stockbridge.

Legendary performance from @ScotRail again. EVERY time I get one of their trains it's delayed, leaves a minute ahead of schedule, or is cancelled with about ten minutes notice. Today a late arrival into Stirling->missed connection->no bus at other end. Utterly useless!
