Someone sent me @amazon’s “confidential” SoCal’s community engagement plan. It’s an interesting read about how they plan to use $$ to non-profits in communities of color to fight legislation that limits environmental affects of warehouses & labor organizing.
“In a statement, Reyes said the mention was a badge of honor.
It’s disheartening to see Amazon bypassing direct community engagement and the requested community protections and instead prioritizing financial incentives to advance their business objective”
Everyone deserves the right to clean air, and my constituents shouldn't pay the price for pollution. That's why I urged the @EPA to make @SouthCoastAQMD's indirect source rule federally enforceable.
It's past time for warehouses in the Inland Empire reign in their emissions.
This validates what we’ve been fighting for!!
At CCAEJ, we are committed to fighting for healthy and safe communities for all, and we will not back down in the face of corporate greed.

“As of 2021, the warehouses of the Inland Empire accounted for more than a billion square feet. There are more than 3,000 warehouses in San Bernardino County and nearly a thousand more in Riverside County.”
