The powerful nor’easter has caused a lot of damage. Our first priority in the power restoration process is working with MEMA and EMA to open roads that are currently closed by downed power lines. Once that is complete, we will assess the damage and start repair.

Quick correction to previous post, our @SoPoParksRec Community Center is on the summer schedule and is not open this weekend but the Main Library and Branch Library are.
It will be hot this weekend. Be safe! If you need to cool off our @SoPoParksRec Community Center and @SoPoLibrary Library will be open on Saturday during normal business hours and the Branch Library will open on Sunday during normal business hours.
An All Hands was struck at 2021 for 24 Edmund S Muskie Rd for a structure fire. Ambulance 41 arrived and reported visible fire and entered the building and located and removed one victim. Engine 48 arrived shortly after and quickly extinguished the fire. There were no injuries.
