Freedom Forum News is an Ontario based new media news service focused on current Canadian news ("Last Week Today") and media criticism ("Roasting the Press").
We are receiving reports that some Canadians are being contacted at their homes by government officials about social media posts made months or even years ago.
These reports come after the passage of Bill C-9, the Combatting Hate Act, which expands Canada's hate speech laws by creating new offences, increasing penalties, and removing certain legal safeguards that previously limited prosecutions for hate-related expression.
If government officials contact you about your online posts, consider recording the interaction. If you believe your rights have been infringed or that you have been unfairly targeted, we encourage you to submit a case application through the Justice Centre's online portal here: https://t.co/s2YWpTJUSA
Not true. Trudeau has an ongoing commitment to Canada not to embarass them too often or two publicly.
He still drives income from his speaking engagements and those speaking engagements depend on his last job and the perception that Trudeau retains access to power.
Justin Trudeau is not my PM anymore and as such I really don't care if he's ok video dancing with his girlfriend Katy Perry.
In fact, I kinda respect it
I'm told we should be working to "denormalize" getting angry online.
I'm open, but we've already spent the last ten years denormalizing getting angry offline no matter what the person in front of us happens to be doing.
This is especially true if we're talking to a government official, or a representative of a large corporation, a call centre employee or an NGO executive or virtually any self appointed official in virtually any capacity.
An American president who used to be famous once said, 'Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.'
Given that, maybe we should retain the ability to allow people to get angry online.

To understand how these delusional logic pathogens capture the modern landscape, read Dr. Gad Saad's latest masterpiece. In Suicidal Empathy: Dying to Be Kind, released in May 2026, Dr. Saad unpacks the precise evolutionary architecture behind this psychological disorder. He documents how this same pathological altruism blindfolds the West... leaving our societies completely defenseless against the most absurd ideological infestations.
It debuted as an Instant #1 New York Times Bestseller because it delivers the ultimate mind vaccine against civilizational self-destruction. Get your copy on Amazon or Audible today.
