Last year when UGA won the national championship game, ensuing riots in Athens caused over 3 million $ in property damage.

@jscarto @pokateo_ @GISLounge Agree! I use CAD for civil site design. With AutoCAD Civil3D, I use many GIS layers to create a model of existing site features. My GIS education helps me easily understand and manage geospatial data.
I can't imagine calling what I do a "GIS".
A "geospatial" one? It certainly is.

Athens Clarke County does a stormwater calendar every year and the photographers who have their work included are properly and proudly cited.

Gerrymandering exists today. It exists moreso than it did in the time period that I first heard about it as a vocabulary word in middle school social studies.
Upon learning about it, it seemed everyone in the class agreed it was flat wrong
