We’re around 10 mins from payload deployment for @BlackySky_Inc, but in the meantime we can confirm good splashdown of Electron’s first stage as planned! The recovery team is on their way to retrieve the stage from the ocean. Another step toward making Electron a reusable rocket.
Electron’s second stage engine has shut down as planned and the Kick Stage with @BlackSky_Inc’s payload has cleanly separated. We’ve got a bit of break now until payload deployment for @BlackSky_Inc’s two satellites, coming up in around an hour. Stay tuned for updates!
Successful main engine cut-off and separation of Electron’s first and second stages. Electron’s second stage Rutherford engine has ignited and is taking us the rest of the way to orbit.
