@astro_pwise@jimalkhalili I think I saw David Wiltshire talk on this when I was in NZ (~15-20 years ago) - I can't assess the details, but I get the impression it's a long running alt theory that's never gained traction, rather than a brand new revolutionary idea

From the brief summary, PC archetypes are based on Māori roles and principles, and it looks like it might run like a Vaesen-style "deal with monsters" game, where direct conflict with the cursed beasties is not necessarily the best approach
