Yesterday was “Walk-About Wednesday” at Marlborough! Ss had a wonderful time admiring and discussing the Earth Day displays on different classroom doors. @gecdsbmariners

To celebrate Earth 🌍 Day, students decorated our classroom door to showcase an environmental concern. Ss measured the background paper; selected the title & found the correct letters; researched using @epic4kids and @pebble_go and crafted & designed the layout. @gecdsbmariners

We kicked off Earth Week on Monday by bringing marker & pen recycling to Marlborough. We are collecting dried out markers, pens, and mechanical pencils for the @StaplesCanada recycling program. 🌎 @gecdsbmariners

We are learning a lot using the @UFLiteracy program. Students highlighted words that followed the FLSZ spelling rule and drew a labelled picture that showed understanding of the passage. @gecdsbmariners

We are learning about global communities in Grade 2. When finished work early, one student is choosing to create a large world map. We love checking out his progress! 🌎 @gecdsbmariners
