Then we had a session with a small group of the city’s creative polymaths whose work intersect across art, science, history, architecture, city planning and decolonial thinking to begin to distill, craft and imagine what’s important for a space like this in an ecosystem of care.

As we think about ways to involve more people in research that is done to improve human health, we should expand our ideas of what it means to be human. Artist @LaurieRamsell will also be joining us to #HackTheHospital on Friday.
How can we ensure that communities are brought along the whole research process in order to develop solutions to the problems that directly affect them? How might the participation in health research be a valuable learning experience for all involved?
In preparation for our Community Design Studio day on 6th December, we’ve been in conversation with local people, healthcare professionals and community organisations.
Public health research often involves local people volunteering their time to take part in a study. This information is then passed forward and published in a research paper.

We're really excited to announce that Dr Annabel Sowemimo @SoSowemimo will be helping us #HackTheHospital next week with an injection of knowledge around the challenges people of colour face engaging with health services.
She is a regular columnist for gal-dem and freelance journalist having written for the Independent and metro Online. She holds an undergraduate degree in Medical Anthropology and an MSc in Sexual & Reproductive Health Research. Read more here https://t.co/ThVqQISd94
