Expect Illuminating talks and great networking for the Digital User-Centred Design community... with food and beverages for all!
Lots of energy and enthusiasm from Ellie and Tom from @BTGroup - buzzing for the return of in-person #UserResearch in their shiny new research labs. Great for the wider @XDBrum UCD community to have that investment advancing the practice in the city and region #XDBrum
Lots of really pertinent tips from @racheleightfive for running UCD communities of practice. Great principles to start with, and useful reminders for those already up and running #BHXD@XDBrum
Great reflections from @racheleightfive on the importance of sharing knowledge (and therefore the power inherent) within and beyond communities of practice @XDBrum#BHXD
Looking forward to everyone joining us at @BTGroup’s Three Snowhill this evening. We’ve been upgraded to the rooftop! When you’ve gone through the barrier, press 17 on the lifts and you’ll arrive at BHXD#5! #BHXD
@LouDowne Ah takes me back - IIRC I needed to complete one to avoid being taxed twice on work done for a US client. Only enjoyable part was the necessity of a trip in person to the old US embassy, which while inconvenient was also fascinating. Also Obama was in office, so happier times...
Great 1st event for @oursmartbrum - loved the thread throughout the talks of technology innovation enabling decentralisation and in turn empowering individuals and communities from the bottom up. Many learning moments. Brain food matched by the quality catering from Dhalings too.
@misterunderwood My beef with e-bikes is the impact on the sustainability of mountain bike trails. Reduces self regulation through fitness, higher amounts of traffic impacts both natural trails and conflict with other users. Combined with continued growth of the sport makes me worried for future.
@misterunderwood In that context I fully agree. Concerns remain about environmental impact of battery production but that's isn't specifically an e-bike thing by any means. Love that they enable those who otherwise wouldn't be able/willing to switch to or stick with pedal power.
We're recruiting a User Researcher and Agile Business Analyst into our shiny new Wolverhampton HQ! Just need CV & cover letter to apply - v easy. And Digital Rapid Response team is shaping up so well, v much recommend this team.

@misterunderwood Google tells me that you were in exactly the right vicinity. And yes - go-kart track and stock car race track that has adapted to cater for drift scene which accounts for the cacophony
