@mtpennycook @CommonsLUHC Fundamental issue here is why Govt and housing support associations think they can squeeze private landlords. This is a public issue, not a private one. With all dumb anti landlord measures introduced recently, I simply increased my rents 20-30%. So did my fellow landlords.

@CarolineLucas lol if you have an issue - tell Govt to sort out housing. It’s not for private landlords to do Govt jobs. No one is forced to rent my properties. It’s a free market. Feel free to play with it if you want - I’ll simply raise my rent. How does that work for you?

Those landlords have the option to invest in shares or property or any other asset class. They chose property - thereby reducing burden on state in future. why penalise them?

20mph limits don't need to be politicised. Of the first 5 community-wide 20mph limits to be set in UK one was set by Lib-Dem Council, one by Lib-Dem/Con coalition, one by Lab/Green coalition and two by Con councils. Beware of politicians adopting divisive tactics.
