@CaptainConcurs@MCCCANM I’ve done about a dozen dual engine failure landings in the sim. Sim time is valuable, use the extra time to see how the jet responds outside of the canned profiles of the curriculum. It may save your arse one day.
@MCCCANM I always have a couple of things to try after the check was complete- data points on the drag of config changes, aircraft cues and handling response from mistakes like premature flap retraction, yaw tendencies when approaching single engine Vmc, dual engine fail landing, etc.
@LizHighleyman@MCCCANM That’s not what created the problem. It was the advent of rolling suitcases that prompted a massive increase in carry on luggage. Passengers no longer had to carry luggage through airports, so they stopped checking their bags. Trust me, it happened long before before baggage fees
@MCCCANM@iahphx No doubt in my mind that it wasn’t intentional. Laterally, belly up to the beach over water wher there is the CP marker and a stopwatch. Vertically, no excuse.
Don’t worry, Pete will get him off the hook.
@Bitcoin_Teddy A clear indicator of societal decay is the AI generated, single sentence paragraph article. They prove that humans are lazy, shallow and mostly useless.
@MCCCANM Apart from war, there is also a lack of actual flight time for the tactical community. You’ll see it get worse in the aftermath of Epic Furry. With airlines offering the opportunity of generational wealth, the services have little chance of retaining sharp pilots.
@RichardHou86445@RSE_VB Whiners got shut up pretty quick, since we were all literally in the same boat on the same deployment! And we got to get off of the damned thing and have some fun in a supersonic fighter!
@Guntalk Maybe California could argue that they’re not banning Glocks due to their aversion to citizens owning firearms, but rather that they’re banning them because they simply have good taste.
