So much of this attention-seeking and factually incorrect post, idk where to start. But this guys a fucking moron.

1) In 2007 he won a Vezina with the “best defense in NHL history” behind guys like Paul Martin, Richard Matvichuk, and Johnny Oduya

In 2008 he won a Vezina with the same d-men in front of him. Were those the best defenses in NHL history?

2) Brodeur’s pads were comically small. Even in his later years. This alone tells me you didn’t watch him play.

Lundqvist was the guy with pads the size of skyscrapers. Brodeur said many times he prefers small pads bc he gets around quicker. What a buffoon this idiot below me is

3) the trapezoid absolutely exists because of Brodeur. It’s literally referred to as the Brodeur rule. And if you say Turco was a better puck handler, then you REALLY don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.

4) in 2012 at like 39 years of age, he took a below average devils team 2 wins away from another Stanley cup. Not only that, he’s the reason they won that rangers series. Unbelievably athletic saves at 39 (see: scorpion save).

But you know what’s funniest about all the Brodeur shit talk? These same people will turn around and say guys like Stevens, Daneyko, were overrated. So if Stevens, Daneyko, Niedermayer, Rafalski were all overrated, who’s the real hero back there?

Not to mention, part of the reason the devils were so dominant defensively was BECAUSE of Brodeur’s ability to break the puck out, make insane passes, and huge timely saves after not seeing the puck for 10 mins (hardest thing for a goalie.)

You wanna say Roy and Hasek are ahead of him, sure I’d disagree and we can debate. But to say he isn’t one of the goats is just unoriginal, attention-whorish, “look at me guys!” ahh behavior.

Go ask your guy Lou if Marty is among the greats. I bet you know more than him too though.
