⚛️ Kvantni računalniki bodo potrebovali povsem novo dobaviteljsko verigo. Nekatera podjetja imajo že danes skoraj monopolni položaj pri ključnih tehnologijah.

BREAKING NEWS
PRIVATE PURCHASES OF GOLD SURGED TO 329 TONNES IN THE THREE MONTHS TO JUNE, ALMOST FIVE TIMES HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS QUARTER
“Private purchases.”
Here we go…
They should mix up the propaganda more. This is way too obvious.
Just like when they were parroting before the debate that Biden was “sharp as a tack” 🤣
Market cap of major semicap companies over the last decade.
In my opinion, long-term competitive advantages are the most important variable for company success. I continue to be impressed with the moats around the large semicap companies.
$ASML $AMAT $KLAC $LRCX $TOELY $ASMIY $ENTG all have strong positions in their respective verticals.
$ASML is the best example with a monopoly in EUV lithography.
$AMAT and $LRCX both are positioned well in deposition and etch respectively (and should continue to benefit from the verticalization of semis).
$KLAC maintains a 50+% market share in metrology/inspection.
On top of this, these companies are likely to return 70%+ of their FCF to shareholders over time.
The next decade of returns is unlikely to mirror the incredible performance of the last, but buybacks/dividends should continue to increase as a % of total shareholder returns.
Additionally, the legitimate risks to the businesses (geopolitical, regulatory, cyclicality) are likely to push valuations meaningfully lower at some point in the coming years, and should provide more attractive purchase prices than today.
🚨ELON: YOU CAN CUT STAFF IF YOU GIVE UP ACTIVISM AND CENSORSHIP
Tucker:
"How do you run the company [Twitter] with only 20% of the staff?”
Elon:
"Turns out you don't need all that many people to run Twitter.”
Tucker:
"But 80%, that's a lot.”
Elon:
"Yes. If you're not trying to run some sort of glorified activist organization, and you don't care that much about censorship, then you can really let go of a lot of people, it turns out.”

Silver fell better than 12% from its July 11 high while gold is holding up relatively well. End of price day price action is quite important. If silver manages to recover overnight decline and trade back at $29.50 then that would be considered a very bullish price action. Else more patience would be required...
Average length of time investors have held a stock:
Buffett: 10 - 20 years ($KO +40 years)
Charlie Munger: +20 years
Templeton: 5 - 10 years
Peter Lynch: Typically 5 years
Lou Simpson: +20 Years
Bill Ackman: 5-10 Years
Holding a stock for 1 year is not Long Term Investing
Holding a stock for a few months is trading, typically people can not handle holding a stock for much longer than 3 months.

The gold standard of recession indicators is issuing a clear warning.
While the yield curve is starting to un-invert significantly, it still has a long way to go.
Currently, 76% of all Treasury yield spreads are negative.
It’s worth noting that the shift from widespread inversions to a steeper curve typically happens very abruptly.
We expect the same phenomenon to occur this time around.
