⭕️I want to address the notion of “hardliners” versus “moderates” in Iran. First, there are no real moderates in Iran; they are all regime loyalists whose primary concern is the survival of the regime. The so-called moderates were complicit in the violent suppression of 50,000 Iranians protesting the regime, and these are the same people who are in power now. Any reported disagreements between the political echelon and the IRGC are most likely orchestrated to mislead the US into believing that there are factions within the regime willing to negotiate. The sooner the US recognizes this reality, the better. Any future hostilities should begin with the elimination of both the so-called moderates and the hardliners, as they are equally responsible. Keep taking them out until only the janitor is left, who will sign the surrender agreement.
