Spike Milligan would have been 100, today - which gives me reason enough got post this, again. I had asked him (at 18) how to be rich and famous. His reply … #Spike100
A small but select gathering with @FinchleySociety marking the 100th birthday of #SpikeMilligan@stephenshouse Stewart Wild letting everyone know how #Spike chose his nickname, and he preferred it to Terrence!
Spike at 100. Of all the things I've accumulated over 40 years in this racket, there's few more precious than his letter that hangs on my office wall. I'd always greet him with, "Still alive?"
In so many ways, he still is.
"You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, which is just long enough to be president of the United States". Happy 100th birthday Spike Milligan!
As it seems more important than ever to remember the good things of life, please take time to reflect on the creative genius of Spike Milligan. Born on 16 April - 100 years ago. @goonchild4
