If Bird goes bust, I hope Silicon Valley reflects on how hype, momentum, and cult of personality drive investing decisions. I hope they look at Bird and wonder, what if some of that money went to local transit systems? To existing public infrastructure? To more diverse founders?
To reduce further cascading negative effects of FTX, Binance is forming an industry recovery fund, to help projects who are otherwise strong, but in a liquidity crisis. More details to come soon. In the meantime, please contact Binance Labs if you think you qualify. 1/2
@RepubliCuban@isASNY @ReggieRed9 @bomo5504@IlhanMN You need a history lesson.
Trump lost 40 house seats in his mid-term.
Obama lost 63 in his first.
Clinton lost 52 in his first.
Reagan lost 26...
How many is Biden losing?
How I became the Hugging Mom ๐งต:
Every day when I drop my son off at preschool, I give him a hug and wish him a good day. I tell him I love him while he runs off to play with his friends. Last week, after I hugged my son, something different happened.
FTX was the world's 3rd largest crypto exchange.
Today it's said to be insolvent and in the midst of an acquisition by Binance.
Here's everything you need to know about Alameda Research and the collapse of FTX:

If you're an adult without kids and don't think this hospital crisis affects you, think again.
In the ER, if we had to choose between an adult with a heart attack, or a 6 month old struggling to breathe for our last critical care bed, the baby will get that bed every single time
Recall that the article began with the sexy (false) premise that the U.S. has fewer cops per capita than median rich countries. Nowhere in the article did the authors explain that they intentionally excluded hundreds of thousands of cops that would eliminate that premise.
@marypagones A few years ago I moved from a neighborhood the whole township came to for trick or treat to a very low traffic apartment complex, and we didn't get a single knock this year. I just want to give candy to people who want to show off their costumes! ๐ญ
@Kent_in_Utah @Ooooooooopoop69 @ldsfootnotes Wait...so Bishop Snow was accused doing of the very same thing two separate times?!
I think that gives a lot more credibility to the tale. Hey may have done it twice. Yeesh.
@Kent_in_Utah @Ooooooooopoop69 @ldsfootnotes Did Bishop Snow pressure a young woman into marriage when she was already engaged to Thomas Lewis?
Was that the young woman he married in the spring of 1857?
Did he try to send Thomas on a mission?
There are a bunch of rumors. I'd like to know which ones are true.
@Kent_in_Utah @Ooooooooopoop69 @ldsfootnotes It's interesting to me that you're criticizing OP for not sharing the full context, but you have no problem with Fair Mormon leaving out ALL of the context that doesn't fit their narrative.
I wonder how I got the idea that you were defending Snow? ๐ค
@Kent_in_Utah @ldsfootnotes What more? There is no evidence of a trial, no minutes, no jury...
There is far more evidence of unspecified sexual crimes against Joseph Smith. And most Mormons see that incident in 1832 as evidence of his virtue, not his guilt.
@Kent_in_Utah @ldsfootnotes You know more about it than you know about Thomas Lewis.
You find the rumors about him compelling, knowing nothing but the manner of his 'punishment'.
We know FAR more about Joe Smith's relationships withy young girls (plural).
