One popular terf study sourced its transfem ppts from poverty stricken sex workers in the favelas, many of whom's only form of HRT was bumming their friends' spare bc pills, and it concluded that trans women retain male advantage in sport because hrt doesn't suppress testosterone
If you argue that medical transition eventually eliminates the advantage from T, they respond with studies with findings of "skeletal advantage" (tall) and "increased muscle mass" (height -> volume -> mass), and surely you aren't claiming there's no difference at all?
@mealdealtruther@uncanny_eli He's just articulating what most other online queer people have been working towards for the past couple of years, with the whole "ugh, white trans women are such smelly bigoted sex pests" stuff.
Trans "fakers" are exceedingly rare. Trans repressors are plentiful. If your reaction to a trans person's repression cope is to imply they are actually c!s, you are conceding to transphobes, statistically off base, and probably really mean.
@wulfhildaa The other problem is that babytranses are also often terrified of epistemic authority being partially lodged in lived experience, again because it can look vaguely like "you aren't trans enough for us". So our naivest members are the most reluctant to not lead the conversation.
@wulfhildaa No, I don't think it's helpful for them. I think people are assuming that "sex/=gender" must come from outsiders pursuing their rational self interest at our expense. But what I'm seeing are young members of our group misidentifying their own interests due to fear and naivete.
@eimhare How I discovered her favourite lube she was talking up beforehand had almond oil in it (I am severely allergic to nuts).
"Hey, uh, is it supposed to feel like it's burning?"
@wulfhildaa@LilianaAkiva In the 2010s a ton of eggs cracked and the immense gravity of all those new babytranses with babytrans anxieties shaped the civil rights rhetoric of that era for the worse.
@wulfhildaa@LilianaAkiva Babytranses + closet cases start with no community in a transphobic society. Consequently they are terrified of being abandoned by other trans people, the only ones who truly see them, for "not being trans enough", and they'll warp all discourse around reassuring that anxiety.
@prairiedust Because babytransfems are naive to transmisogynistic dynamics and, again, desperate for inclusion in what seems to be the largest and most inclusive communities, they are unfortunately predisposed to side against whichever transfem is currently being disposed of.
@prairiedust Babytranses and closeted ppl are often consumed by need for online trans community because those are the only places they feel they can be openly trans. They're terrified of facing exclusion for "not being trans enough", and they'll lash out at anything that sounds exclusionary.
@2alkback@girlsbian_ Outside of a theological creationist context it makes no logical sense to say that a body is "organised" to do something that it doesn't do.
Raw biology simply "does" or "doesn't". Notions about what bodies "should" do come from us projecting meaning and uses onto them.
@tortorororo Honestly though I think the cringest aspects of whatever the current babytrans culture is just inevitably stick out to pretrans ppl because they/we project our internalised transphobia onto them, and then create a counter culture that overcompensates and becomes cringe in turn.
@tortorororo For millenials in the early 2010s this was the Susan's Place forum. Boomers asking how to come out to their wife and teenage kids, how to use fake boobs and makeup to appear female, the agony of waiting 10 months for their affordable $50k sex change to become a "real woman", etc.
@pompomend@aMoral_Mistake The problem is probably her clients expect it to be white + thick. The cumstack supplements and keeping super hydrated will keep you squirting ribbons of transparent prostatic fluid, but shooting fat ropes requires sperm which requires testosterone 😞.
