The Power and Impact of Stories
This is one of our podcast episodes we have recorded a while ago. We may upload more of them here on this platform but also on others.
In fact we have a lot of episodes with great guests in our pipeline that we have not released yet.
This episode is about the the role and influence of narratives and stories in shaping our lives and identities.
Are they a prison or do they give us meaning, or something in between?
Are we NPCs or aware beings?
Did we come up with our own story, or were those ideas implanted into our minds by society?
Gm!
I need some help from you if you are selling courses or access to private videos/materials.
What platform/saas are you using?
Are you happy to recommend it?
Why?
Thank you.
@themikegsimon Love this, there is nothing wrong with being employed in a job that feels meaningful and with great ppl.
Sure there are drawbacks with any situation but the black and white narratives get old very fast.
Isn't life the best teacher?
Whenever I read a book, I nod and think "Yeah that sounds right".
It's feel good procrastination.
But when the rubber hits the road, we are truly tested.
Wisdom is earned, not borrowed or taught.
What if we looked fear in the eyes and tried to understand it?
In the past I tried to run away from it.
To distract myself.
To do stuff.
You are busy all day right?
What if we dared to look?
What will you find on the other side?
Is peace and freedom possible beneath the noise?
Something that is deeper and more fulfilling than the endless chase?
What if it was closer than you ever thought?
Can you see how the mind always seeks, always dismissing what is here and now?
You're looking for more, but there's nothing else
That realization?
It's where suffering ends.
Not in the noise, but in the quiet truth that you're part of it all.
No separation, no longing, just being.
And in that being, there's peace.
The end of suffering, just like that.
One Minute Body Scan
Desired Outcome: Release tension, enhance bodily awareness
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
Starting at your feet, gently bring your attention to each part of your body, noticing any sensations or tensions.
Breathe into each area and allow it to relax as you move your focus up to the crown of your head.
Integration Tip: Ideal for transitioning between work tasks, helping you release physical tension and mental stress.
If Challenged: If you struggle to feel parts of your body, gently tap or touch each area to increase sensation before scanning.
Alternative: Focus on just one part of your body that feels tense and spend the minute releasing that tension.
Chasing spiritual transcendence?
It's like running in circles, chasing your own tail.
People think there's some secret door out of their ego.
But here's the raw truth: escaping who you are is a fool's game.
We're always seeking – more meditation, more enlightenment.
But it's a distraction, missing the real show: life, in all its messy glory.
What if we stopped running?
Embraced the grit, the pain, the joy of our lives as they are?
Life's not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced.
Forget transcendence.
The real magic is in the here and now – the laughter, the tears, the heartbeats.
That's where life happens. Not in some elusive spiritual realm.
Let life flow.
Be in it, with its chaos and beauty.
That's the truest spiritual path.
Raw, unfiltered, fully alive.

Suffering has the power to transform us.
It breaks our attachment to self and unlocks divine love and wisdom.
When we meet suffering with compassion, blessings emerge.
If you're in pain, don't avoid or deny it. Embrace it.
Within it lies boundless love and wisdom.

On the path to awakening, watch out for the "spiritual ego."
It sneaks up on us, sometimes subtly and other times overwhelmingly.
Some become messiah-like, thinking they're destined to save the world.
many fake gurus out there who are good speakers.
