I love my parents, and they love the church, and I NEVER felt like I belonged. The church only berated me, saw my mental illnesses and neurodiverse brain as THE DEVIL TRYING TO TRICK ME. True story. The Catholic Church tried to indoctrinate me. Today, I am the outsider.

I didn’t like the fact I was baptized as a baby and wasn’t asked. In exchange for first communion, I got to pick out whatever dress and veil I wanted. When I was 12 a teacher told me confirmation was my choice, told my parents I was out. The teacher was fired. I made confirmation
