La funcionaria de la Policía Nacional, Siomary Clemencia Fernández Castillo, accionó su arma de fuego accidentalmente mientras conversaba con Nairelis del Mar González Avalo de 22 años de edad. In Smethwick, Birmingham, a quick-thinking shop worker at Taas Express foiled two machete-wielding robbers.

CCTV captured the moment: two masked men burst in, one waving a large machete and threatening to "stab you up" while the other grabbed goods.

The shopkeeper dashed around the counter, rushed out the door, and quickly pulled it shut—locking the thieves inside.

Passers-by helped hold the door as the panicked robbers tried to escape. One robber was arrested; no one was seriously hurt.
