PHP has warned about two serious security bugs that could put websites at risk.

The vulnerabilities can potentially let attackers run their own code on vulnerable web servers. PHP is used by websites and services running platforms such as WordPress, MediaWiki, Magento, Joomla, Drupal and more.

Some websites are temporarily taking parts of their services offline while they wait for more details about the bugs.

PHP2Shell is getting serious: even hacker forums are going offline

BreachForums and Dread have taken themselves offline as a precaution following the disclosure of two critical PHP vulnerabilities, CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619.

BreachForums says it will stay offline until PHP is patched globally.

Security firm Aikido also reports active exploitation attempts, although there are still no confirmed breaches and the flaws aren’t on CISA’s known-exploited list.

Both vulnerabilities are rated CVSS 9.2 and can potentially allow remote code execution on vulnerable PHP servers.
