I think once again I reached a point with twitter where it's doing me more harm than good.
So I'll do my regular disappearing act and maybe come back if I feel it's preferable to sticking my hand inside a deep frier.
@ToddMitchem @jasonhickel I wouldn't teach them about stuff like metaverse or necessarily even crypto as anything but a warning of what happens when tech people try to find a problem for their solution.
And I doubt email is going away any time soon, ditto for hand writing.
@Doctorsenador@TheAlbion7@jasonhickel The quality of the job matters, and you only benefit people if you replace lower paying jobs with higher paying ones with the same or lesser requirements.
@Doctorsenador@TheAlbion7@jasonhickel Let's say you create 15 thousand jobs by giving every worker a dollar for a month of work. And you take away 5 thousand jobs that pay 10k a month.
Does that benefit people involved?
@JoeJuju7@jasonhickel You're confusing "creating value" with "extracting wealth".
They know how to extract wealth in any situation.
You're also under the false impression that just because it has been extracted legally it means it's been extracted morally.
@ToddMitchem @jasonhickel Currently if you're harming everyone and yet find a way to make money out of that, it's fair game.
And it's what's happening all across the world.
The question is to find a system that doesn't encourage destructive behaviour and promotes creative behaviour.
@ToddMitchem @jasonhickel The question is not to just give all the money away equally, but to invest it in society. improve schooling, improve healthcare, and give people opportunities to start their own businesses and be fairly renumerated for their work based on how usefull that work is to others.
@ToddMitchem @jasonhickel Because people tend to not care too much about someone having more when everyone has enough to live with dignity.
But when you start having less and less and see someone have more and more you start to think about it.
@cynixy 2016. After 6 years working as a graphics and ui programmer for a mobile consultancy (not game related), I sent out dozens of applications, only two replied, got one interview on friday and I got a question back a few hours later asking if I wanted to start monday.
There's many ways to live and philosophies behind them, each person has its own, but has there been an attempt at collecting them and examining them like we do with eg language?
I wonder if there's any field of philosophy that deals with philosophies of life.
Not philosophies of how stuff works, why are we here, what is "good" and "evil", etc, but philosophies of how to live.
.@cmuratori If you didn't want to be question you could have at least muted me and not blocked me so I could read the rest of the documents you posted.
@cmuratori@xananax The (potential) engineering he saw was on the same sites that several days later they have discovered matched the pangolin DNA. Then he says they'll know more after weekend, this was sent on friday 10PM which fits with Feb 2
@cmuratori@xananax Conspired what?
That they were talking about how public will interpret their research and were worried a conspiracy theory was gaining ground?
The timeline fits new data coming in, I haven't yet seen any video or report of them saying they never suspected a lab origin.
