The Fifth India-Russia Army Land System Sub-Group (ALSSG) meeting under the IRIGC-M&MTC concluded in New Delhi. The Indian delegation was led by DCOAS (CD&S) Lt Gen Rahul R Singh, and JS (Land Systems) Dr Garima Bhagat while the Russian delegation was headed by Maj Gen Tufekchi Aleksandr. The Sixth Joint Working Group Meeting on #DefenceCooperation between India and Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent on August 05, 2026. Co-chaired by Joint Secretary Shri Dinesh Kumar and Head of the Central Department for International Military Cooperation, Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan Lieutenant Colonel Sukhrobjon Sodikjonovich Sirojov, the two countries discussed cooperation in joint training & exercises, capacity building, defence education and defence industry. Air Marshal Tejpal Singh, AVSM, VM assumed the appointment of Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force today. Commissioned on 16 Jun 1990 as a fighter pilot, the Air Marshal has over 3500 hours of flying experience. He is a Cat A Qualified Flying Instructor and an Experimental Test Pilot. The Air Marshal has held various key operational, command and staff appointments in the Indian Air Force.

Led by DG NCC Lt Gen Virendra Vats, 79 NCC cadets completed a symbolic 79-km ride celebrating 79 years of India’s Independence.

Under the theme ‘Clean India, Green India, Fit India’, the initiative promoted fitness, environmental conservation, road safety, sustainable living and responsible citizenship while reinforcing the values of patriotism, discipline, unity and national service.
