"Just want to say RIP to Stacey King who we lost recently. Person who I knew when I was in high school out here. He supported our team a lot. His kids went to Stevenson. Just to see him not here today, it's a little sad. And so I just want to say my thoughts and prayers with him and his family. And we miss him"

Mother—

The Patriots dispatch Lt. Maye to our Northern front to cross the Michigan in secrecy.

They send Maye to challenge the Iceman, forgetting that spring must first survive winter.

Their forefathers defeated an empire. Their descendants cannot defeat a forecast.

Caleb Williams was a perfect 24/24 for 248 yards from a clean pocket in the Bears' Week 6 win over the Falcons.

His 24 attempts are the most without an incompletion from a clean pocket in a game since at least 2018.

New newsletter: THE 26 MOST IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT AI AND THE ECONOMY

After weeks of feeling a bit lost in a sea of decontextualized AI factoids, I decided that what I really wanted to read was a structure, a story. So I wrote one.

Today’s newsletter is a fact-by-fact, chart-by-chart story about what AI is actually doing to the economy, with answers to questions like:

1. I keep hearing about trillions in "AI capex," but where exactly is all that money going? (Chart 1 has got you)

2. If AI is powering an otherwise moribund economy, how is it also starving other sectors of capital and resources? (Chart 2 has got you)

3. Do Americans find AI helpful, or do they think it's going to destroy society? (Definitely yes, and ... uh, also yes)

4. How many of the best-performing stocks in 2026 are tied to the AI buildout? (arguably, 19 out of 25)
