@squidbilly929@MPJohnson79 y’all were talking about Vernon Davis … 6’3”, 254, 4.38, 42 in vert, and get this 33 reps on bench. Some of this stuff is absolutely amazing.
@chrisdimino@CelliniNick Agreed Dimino! Well said! I was just talking about the arguement that “it’s the save the kids” is dumb and I know it was not your arguement.
@chrisdimino and @CelliniNick legalizing things had never eliminated the illegal element of that thing. It is a farce and a dumb reason to legalize anything. I’m sure kids will not be targeted anymore once it is legal.
@BKsquared7 In team sports, especially football, it is important that you focus on doing your job well, while holding others accountable to theirs without trying to do it for them … I hope this is what the organization will do from now on.
@McShay13 Although a good drill, it incorporates very little of the factors involved in a real game. The offensive lineman is at a total disadvantage, no help, unlimited space, no snap count advantage, no threat of the run.
@MPJohnson79 Isn’t that how it goes. On a much lower level in high school I had the same thing happen in a jamboree before the season. I always am curious with guys who played at the highest level when they feel like they reach a peak performance especially in the modern era of training.
@MPJohnson79 in your playing days, let’s say from the time you entered Bama until you left the NFL. What year did you feel the strongest and what year did you feel in the best shape.
@jasonrmcintyre He should have thrown the flag. He took a timeout anyway and would have gotten it back if he won the challenge. So he lost a TO AND didn’t get the play reviewed. It was a blunder by the coaching staff.
@jonathanmholder@squidbilly929 Wow, you guys really took this one to heart. Only point is you had at least 2 guys who have had more success as head coaches than you have since the Super Bowl run in your building. My hope is that Stafanski is a difference maker too or at least the OC is. Have a great day.
@squidbilly929 Shanny was a difference maker then and he still is … Falcons brass are now on their 3rd coaching search since that Super Bowl and the 9ers have their coach for the foreseeable future. Just saying
@squidbilly929 Would have been bold, but if it would have been possible. I would have let go of Quinn for Shanny after the Super Bowl if Shanny would have taken the job. He is a difference maker as a coach. Gives you an advantage in game day. Not too many coaches like that.
@MarkZinno His challenge will be to find a coach and GM that fit into the same culture he is trying to build and in that way he will effect how they draft and how they coach. My hope is that if they come in and do not reflect the culture Matt wants, he gets them out of there quickly.
