Olivia Duarte fell out of love with lacrosse. She was paralyzed by the thought of coming forward to talk about her depression.
She took time away from the field and came back rejuvenated.

Need a little #MondayMotivation? Look no further than @caleb2raw. The @HoustonBaptistU alum became the 1st player in @HBU_Football history to sign a contract with an #NFL team when he made the @ChicagoBears active roster, showing that dedication & perseverance can go a long way💯
@GonzagaU student @Juliette_russ & faculty @williamedrake are starting the school year by giving voice to a silent epidemic. By providing a platform that normalizes talking about and treating #mentalhealth, they're addressing student wellness head-on.

Many people work behind the scenes to prep student-athletes for life inside & outside their sport. For @UNC athletes, that support comes from Dr. Ciocca @UNCHealthyHeels. The former @CULionsBaseball player has worked hard to propel #UNC athletes' physical & #mentalhealth.
Director of Sports Medicine Dr. Mario Ciocca helped keep Carolina's 800+ student-athletes healthy, safe and competitive during the pandemic.
For his leadership & service throughout the pandemic, Dr. Ciocca received the 2021 Massey Award.

Sports have the power to ignite healing, patriotism, & unity. It was true following the #September11th terrorist attacks. In remembrance, we pause to honor those whose sacrifices show we're stronger working together. And, sometimes, that simply means playing ball.
The Tokyo #Paralympics have been action-packed. From a .001 photo finish in the women's 100m T47 to new world records, we've watched in awe. And #MentalHealthAwareness remains stronger than ever.
Dedicate time for your own mental wellness this weekend✨
