Sports with Archer 🦁 Detroit Lions talk 🏈 NFL + 🏀🏒⚾ 🎙️ Fans’ perspective, honest breakdowns

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

7 yards and all 3 WR are running deep lmao

[Rich @RichardPrince_]

2nd and 7. Just need positive yards.

[Teej. @TJLang70]

That’s a lot of green dots in the middle of the field.

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

A lot of our games are going to be this way?… then we better get ready for a lot of losses

[Brad Galli @BradGalli]

Dan Campbell opens his Monday press conference after the Lions loss: "I think a lot of our games are going to be this way, and it's important for us to compliment each other."

"We're not in flow right now, obviously. And we need to get takeaways on defense."

[Anthony 💩 @TheRealSharty]

The first 5 games of the season was supposed to be the "easy" bit, BTW.

They have managed to surrender the most ever yards through 4 games in franchise history. And they are a failed 2-pt conversion and missed blitz pickup away from being 0-4.

[Mob @MobHoops]

Carolina was down a number of players yet their defense still was decent because their play caller isn’t braindead

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Defensive coaching and defense gotta be put in the terrorist list

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Good thing we made sure to blitz them almost every play

[Al Karsten @FootballGuy_Al]

Kelvin Sheppard again blitzes, this time near the goal line, leaving Tetairoa McMillan with an easy one-on-one touchdown.

Panthers offense entering Week 4:

Passing vs. blitz
• 8.3 yards/pass (4th)
• +0.35 EPA/pass (6th)
• 39.5% pressure rate allowed (T-11th)
• 2.3% sack rate (5th)

Passing vs. no blitz
• 6.1 yards/pass (18th)
• -0.09 EPA/pass (21st)
• 45.3% pressure rate allowed (32nd)
• 7.0% sack rate (21st)

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Sack, no delay of game on defense(sitting on Goff ripping at ball after whistle) and then dump it down and short.

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Idk maybe don’t show your defensive play every time? Make some adjustments? All they did was throw to Tet, double cover him? Stop blitzing everybody? Pretty simple shit. Even last year when we had kerby and branch our defense was ass.

[Fire Holmes @fetterlab]

How the fuck are there people actually blaming this shit on Shep??? The guy literally has NOBODY to work with on the entire roster that can play man coverage. Not a SOUL

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Lmao 3rd and Long of course we give it up. Thats the Detroit way baby

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

4th and 20 we dump it down for a trick play

[Darius Slay @bigplay24slay]

Lions I got a lot of love for y’all but man this defense is bad bad😮‍💨

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Nah Detroit doesn’t get calls on defense. This is clean

[TheGreyManes @TheGreyManes]

Reed was actually there until this fully extened push off by McMillian

[〽️ichael @MikeH_90]

Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell need to make the tough decision regarding this Defense. Its just not working.

You cant expect the Offense to be perfect in order to win games. You just can't.

If its personnel, go get somebody.
If its coaching, make a change.

[Jeremy Reisman @DetroitOnLion]

What's most frustrating about this defense right now is they finally seemed to have figured out their front-four.

The Lions had 6 QB hits in the first half.

But the back-7 play has been atrocious.

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

I love seeing ex nfl players talking about how ass this defense is

[Teej. @TJLang70]

Bump.

It’s awful.

[𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝟑𝟒𝟒 𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 @Section344Lions]

No pressure offense. Just need a TD every time you touch the ball the rest of the way, and that still might not be enough.

[Al Karsten @FootballGuy_Al]

The Carolina Panthers’ last five possessions have resulted in five straight scoring drives: four touchdowns and one field goal.

• 44 plays
• 361 yards
• 25:31 of possession
• 29 points

The Detroit Lions defensive roster isn’t this bad. The scheme and playcalling have never been worse.

[JDASPORTS @SportsWArcher]

Oh look Tet in the middle of the field again. This is fucking insane
