As a former 1811 who personally processed and delivered hundreds of prisoners into this exact facility, I am raising a precise legal and operational concern regarding the Tate brothers.

They are currently on a USMS hold pending extradition approval/denial in proceedings.

They have not been convicted of any crime in the United States and, most importantly, are U.S. citizens, yet their status is that of extradition detainees.

Over more than three years of proceedings in Romania, the brothers appeared at every required court hearing and judicial proceeding — more than 40 in total — without missing a single one.

They even returned to Romania when summoned after travel restrictions were eased.

That is a clear and documented record of compliance.

Under Wright v. Henkel, 190 U.S. 40 (1903), bail in international extradition cases may be granted upon a showing of special circumstances. A consistent multi-year history of appearing for every required hearing constitutes precisely the type of special circumstance the Court contemplated. I formally request that the court give full and fair consideration to bond.

Further, under Bell v. Wolfish, 441 U.S. 520 (1979), individuals detained pending judicial proceedings cannot be subjected to conditions that amount to punishment. Restrictions must be reasonably related to a legitimate governmental objective. Arbitrary or unnecessarily harsh treatment fails that standard.

As U.S. citizens who have not been charged with any crime in the United States, the Tate brothers should not be subjected to detention-like restrictions based solely on allegations made by a foreign government.

At a minimum, they should be released under reasonable supervision, with appropriate reporting requirements and assurances they will appear for all required U.S. proceedings, meetings, or hearings.

I love President Trump and even when I’ve disagreed I one hundred percent have trusted his leadership and instincts because he probably saw things and had information we didn’t.

But if he allows Andrew and Tristan Tate to be deported to the most evil country on planet earth when’s it’s been proven by the last 4 years they’ve done nothing wrong, I will no longer actively support him even though I’d still think he’s the greatest President in American history.

If @SecRubio signs off, I will actively work against him, even though it would kill me because I love the idea of him or JD Vance being president in the future.

Dear friends,
just a few minutes ago I finished a phone call with German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz @bundeskanzler regarding the serious international situation. Above all, I briefed him on my lengthy discussion with U.S. President D. Trump and his Secretary of State M. Rubio, which took place on Saturday evening in Florida. The President of the United States is clearly pursuing the nation state interests of the U.S. If the EU acted in the same way, we would be in a completely different position than we are now.

World leaders do not take the EU fully seriously, and this can be attributed to our nonsensical climate targets and our suicidal migration policy. In this spirit, I will send an open letter to the President of the European Commission tomorrow and inform all prime ministers and heads of EU member states.

I proposed several solutions to the Federal Chancellor and hope that he will soon visit Slovakia, as he promised. We have much to discuss. Several hundred German companies operate in Slovakia, and our economy given the enormous concentration of car manufacturing is particularly dependent on Germany’s economic development. Only charlatans like the younger Šimečka can claim that our economy is dragging down the entire European policy.
