Angela Paxton finally addressed the Texas Senate race after filing for divorce from Ken Paxton on “biblical grounds.”

She told Republican women, “It's not the people, it's the seat.”

“We have more control over that seat and the future when we control the seat, when it's still in the family, even if we're mad at them.”

Angela filed for divorce in July 2025 after 38 years of marriage. Her divorce petition alleged adultery, and she said publicly that she had “earnestly pursued reconciliation.”

She told the room that when voters choose a person, “the party comes along with them,” and said losing the seat to the other party would matter more than the differences voters may have with a particular candidate.

Whatever her feelings toward her estranged husband, Angela Paxton made her political position clear. She wants the Texas Senate seat to remain Republican rather than go to Democrat James Talarico.

Ever wonder whatever happened to Trump's promise to cap credit card interest at 10 percent?

Here's what happened to it.

Back in January, Trump called for a hard 10 percent cap, at least for a year, to give families buried under 20-plus percent rates some breathing room.

He even got Bernie Sanders and Josh Hawley to write the bill together. When Bernie and MAGA land on the same page, you know the little guy actually had a shot.

Then the banks showed up. The lobby swarmed Capitol Hill, and the bill's been parked in committee ever since. No vote. No cap.

Banks claimed if they are capped at 10% they couldn't offer credit to those with low credit scores.

And people forget, a president can't just snap his fingers and cap rates. It takes Congress. And Congress answered to the banks, not to you.

Trump put it on the table. The swamp sat on it!
