Fellow ODR operators. What’s your plan for the next few days? Leave the Thur snow to protect the “ice” until Tuesday’s cold or clear and flood Friday when it’s going down to -17. I’m feeling the “leave the snow until Tuesday” option might be best with the Sun/Mon +5/+6 forecast.

@ManordaleODR That’s an impressive walk. Have you already flooded? I’m planning on packing at Boothfield tonight (hoping for a guy to help out with his atv at Spratt) but not sure if I want to flood before Friday’s warm weather and rain.

@TURFAREA @RinksOttawa @OttawaRinks I’m lucky that I’ve got a couple of helpers at Boothfield. They’ve done about 8 floods combined. I pulled an all-nighter Tues going back and forth between my two rinks.

@TURFAREA @RinksOttawa @OttawaRinks Started with a light flood on Monday night, 20 floods by yesterday afternoon and Boothfield opened last night (asphalt), 14 floods at Spratt and not close to opening (grass)

@TURFAREA Mostly about an inch. A couple of spots that are a bit thinner due to sun/water loss under boards/slightly uneven surface.
